If you didn’t get a chance to read my previous post about our Mexico trip for dental work, you can find the link at the end of this post. It’s been an eye-opening and positive experience. It’s always good when an unpleasant situation reaps great benefits. Dental work is never fun, but the care we received and the money we saved were excellent. Read on for the details.

In my previous post, I mentioned that I got my teeth cleaned and found out I needed to have two old fillings replaced, and I needed a crown. The dentist told me the crown would cost $300.00, and the fillings would cost $60.00 each. I neglected to get that on paper, and those figures changed when I went to pay. Tommy’s work was listed on a form with different pricing options, and they stuck by those.

Tommy had to get three impressions done for his dentures, which needed to be an hour apart. While he got his first one, I settled into my dental chair to get my fillings and the impression done for my crown. I would get my permanent crown while Tommy finished his major work. I wasn’t happy to find out that the decay underneath one of my fillings was so bad that I needed a root canal.
