More Fun at Camp -Work, Lunches, and Outings

Our second week of volunteer work is under our belts

Lunch at the directors house was nice. I missed a couple of faces, but this is our group, except me, and most of the Sowers. we have become like family.
Our lunch at the bosses house was great.

We all did a lot of painting this week. A couple of groups of campers arrived this weekend and we had to finish painting many rooms to accommodate them. Our RVICS team worked on some, while the Sowers painted others. It was such a feeling of accomplishment to stand back and look at the finished product.

I’m going to be honest and say that woman are more meticulous painters than men are. I spent so much time cutting in at the baseboards only to find that when the guys applied a second coat they were not as picky as me, and there was paint where it shouldn’t be. But I digress, the rooms look SO much better. After we finished painting, we cleaned the rooms to the best of our abilities, and they looked mighty fine.

On Thursday we were invited to our camp director’s home for lunch. Rob and Sarentha are fabulous hosts. We had tasty sandwich fixings, four-way soup, chips, apples, and buttermilk pie. I’d…
