I’m Listening to the Still Small Voice
When I don’t, I pay for it.
My computer has been acting weird for quite a while now. It’s a refurbished 2015 17-inch MacBook Pro I purchased when my other one somehow got water inside of it. I’ve been getting ads from Best Buy in my emails and feel strongly that this puppy could crash, which would be devastating. Let’s face it: as writers, our lives are on our computers.
I prefer to write using Word. I was a PC girl for years, and it’s a program I can work with. I didn’t even attempt to use Pages. It’s hard teaching an old dog new tricks. Once I made the leap to Apple, there was no turning back. I never had a PC that lasted more than a few years. The constant updates made me crazy. However, as I write this, my computer is doing wonky things. In the middle of a sentence, heck, even a word, the letters pop up randomly in the middle of a different sentence or paragraph.
I was 600 words into a post a few days ago, and my computer went crazy. I attempted to save the article to close the program and get on the phone with Apple support. The post disappeared, and Word disappeared off of my dock. 😣
Being a full-time RVer complicates many things.
Doctor and vet appointments are a serious pain in the backside, computer doctors included. 😞😓🙏🏻 We were supposed to leave this campground today, but I added a day because there is a Best Buy in the town we’re in now and not one in the area we’re headed to. I am so NOT techy. I need a professional to move everything from my old computer to the new one.
Tomorrow, when I write, it will be on my new 15-inch MacBook Air. Keep me in your prayers that all goes smoothly. 🙏 The nice salesman said moving everything to the new computer in a few hours would be no problem. The Geek Squad said it may take more than a day. We pay $63.00 a night here, and our Thousand Trails stay is free. I don’t want to make any more reservation changes and spend more money. 😟
I look forward to sharing great news tomorrow from my new computer. 😊
