I suffer from claustrophobia too. Mine was brought on by an uncle burying me under blankets in a small area. I can get through a car wash, but it is torture for me. We all have different triggers, some more extreme than others. If I can offer some advice, NEVER go up into the Saint Louis Arch! It looks so huge from down below that you wouldn't think it would be tight on the top. I thought I'd have a heart attack from the ride up in what looked and felt like a large egg. As it clunked its way to the top, in the dark, I might add, I thought I'd die before getting outWof the contraption. when the door opened I didn't get the sweet relief of air to breathe I'd imagined. It felt like the ceiling was on your head. You could almost reach up and touch it. The air was stagnant, and the experience excruciating. I may have to write about that trip. Thanks for sharing. We are sisters in claustrophobia. With prayer I can get through anything, but I prefer to avoid tight, closed in spaces. 😊
