I have to confess to being one of the people that has been pronouncing your name wrong. I'm glad that I read your post so that I won't anymore. Charisse is not the easiest name for people to grasp and my name has been butchered more times than I can say. The worst is when they call me Clarisse. The Silence of the Lambs movie comes to mind and I hate that. There is no L in my name so why do they add one? Years ago I decided to run with my initials. Cat is easy to remember and it would take a moron to mess it up. Very few people call me Charisse now. My husbands name is Tom and when we introduse ourselves to the many people we meet in campgrounds the name combo Tom-Cat is easy to remember. Keep up the good work. I love reading your posts. :)
