I got excited after reading your post and went right into writing a story that my editor removed from my memoir. She said it was reading too much like an autobiography. I didn't realize until I spent hours working on it that this was a Digging Up Bones challenge. It's a new story on Medium. Have you got any thoughts on a pub that I should send it to?
