I can't relate to so much of what you wrote regarding menopause. My mother had a hysterectomy at 38 and took heavy doses of estrogen afterward. She couldn't share anything about her menopause symptoms with me. She's 83 and still takes a low-dose version. I was taking low doses of estrogen and progesterone because my gyno said the progesterone combated the possibility of cancer issues using estrogen alone. I suffered from horrible hot flashes and night sweats. I had to medicate to function. Everyone is different. My best friend toughed it out. I don't think she could have if her symptoms were as debilitating as mine. Don't even get me started on the brain fog! Do what you need to do for yourself. A good gynecologist is a blessing.
