I can relate to so much of your story! I have to admit, the pie thing is pretty mind-boggling. πŸ˜‚ I have been on the 16/8 intermittent fasting program for about two years. It helped me lose 30 pounds, and I feel healthier, but it hasn't helped with my brain fog. I also walk 10,000 steps every morning. As a full-time RVer, I often get to do that in nature. We've been at the camp where our volunteer project is taking place, and I got lost yesterday and today. That's one of my brain fog problems. I've always had a lousy sense of direction, but how easily I get lost is starting to scare me. Thank God for Google Maps. On today's walk, I got lost in the weeds, literally. I was following a trail that dissipated into what looked like long reeds that had been trampled. Since there was no road, I had to hold out my phone and look in the direction that my blue dot was heading. I seriously wondered if I would ever find my way out. Misery loves company, so I wanted to share my experience. After all, you were brave enough to share the pie tin story. πŸ˜„ I've gotten comfortable with blaming things on my menopause brain.
